Re: Bloodrage Urkin

Thanks.

I should have thought to look at the rulebook.

Come 'Ere, Boys summons Urkins (I think I have the name right). I assume you do not have pay the points cost for the new Urkins, or plan for them to be in your force. They just show up as extras in the middle of the game. Or do you add them to your force before the game starts and then not deploy th...

Counting Victory Points

I am not sure I understand the counting of VPs. In the general section, page 66, the wording looks very clear to me. 1 VP when a character is Wounded, and another 2 if they are knocked Out of Action. So a one shot kill immediately gives you 3 VPs, as it does both. But the example on page 75, Blood o...

Bloodrage Urkin

We struggled a bit with the Bloodrage Urkin and his little buddy. Here is what we did. 1) The two minis/characters count as one member of the force, for rules that need a head count. 2) It cost 30 pts (not 30+30) to field him. 3) Wounds are checked off on both character cards as they are taken. Both...

Re: Twisted Painting Guides: Bloodrage Urkin Part 1 - Painting the Flesh

I agree these are really useful! I can't wait to learn how to paint the little squares (and how do I paint small circles???) But if you are taking suggestions ... One thing I find missing from many advanced tutorials, is some measurement of the number of actions performed or effort required. For exa...

Re: AGN's Servants of the Engine WIP

I can't see an edit button! I meant to say in the last post that I've broken the accidental red and green faction color scheme and I am now back to my original plan of using different base types to identify the factions. This is more apparent in the game, where you take a more top down view of what'...

Re: AGN's Servants of the Engine WIP

One more. As soon as I saw the hat, I thought of a yellow sou'wester. Bummer, because I find yellow hard to shade. Anyway, the Gentlefolk Sailor is decked out in yellow slickers. The explosion was fun to paint, and embedding the anchor in the base makes it look like an active part of the weaponry. h...
